Pharmacy Mentor began before the company had a name: one pharmacist, one independent pharmacy and a belief that digital tools could bring better care to more people.
Before Pharmacy Mentor was registered, Saam worked as a pharmacist in an independent Sheffield pharmacy. A passion for social media and video creation led him to become the pharmacy's digital strategist. He built its website, published useful articles and ran SEO—attracting patients from across Sheffield.
Looking across the UK, Saam saw the same pattern everywhere: pharmacies were doing vital work but barely using digital tools to reach patients or grow. He created an online social media course specifically for pharmacy—and Pharmacy Mentor began.
The company was formally registered in Sheffield. Saam won the first clients, proved the model and hired the first team member.
As COVID transformed how patients communicated, digital became essential. Pharmacy Mentor grew significantly helping pharmacies adapt, moved into its first Sheffield office in 2020 and expanded the team.
Partnerships with recognised industry organisations extended our reach and helped more pharmacies access specialist digital growth support.
We began exploring and developing online prescribing systems, recognising the growing role of independent prescribing and pharmacy-led private clinics.
Our SEO, PPC and social campaigns were reaching tens of millions of people each month, connecting patients with pharmacy services across the UK and Ireland.
Private clinics were booming. We became more sophisticated in online prescribing development, surpassed 50 clinic builds and grew to 30 team members.
We embedded a growing range of AI tools into our delivery processes and began exploring dedicated AI products designed for pharmacy.
We opened Pharmacy Mentor India and expanded to 35 people across the UK and India. We built the PM GrowthHub, developed IPA—the AI pharmacy assistant for our websites—and launched the Online Clinic Blueprint Intensive. Today we work across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland, with a lifetime impact spanning well over 1,000 pharmacies.
