SEO on a budget

About This Pharmacy

This pharmacy approached us with the goal of improving its online visibility despite having a very small marketing budget. They were particularly interested in using SEO to target a handful of key services, but were limited to only two or three blogs each month. Although progress was naturally slower with this level of investment, consistent blogging allowed us to gradually strengthen their online presence. Over the course of 1.5 years, their traffic and conversions increased steadily, demonstrating that SEO can work even for smaller pharmacies with restricted budgets.

The Challenge

The pharmacy faced the following challenges:

• They had a very small marketing budget to work with.
• They wanted to target multiple services, meaning their limited budget had to be divided across several areas.
• They had very few, if any, existing rankings on Google or other search engines when they started.

Our Solution

We began by reviewing all the products and services the pharmacy wanted to focus on with SEO. From there, we conducted in-depth research to identify which of these topics had enough search demand to make SEO worthwhile. After confirming priorities with the pharmacy, we selected the service areas that offered the best opportunity for ranking through blogs.

Once our targets were agreed upon, we completed keyword research and began publishing SEO-optimised blog content each month. Although this pace of blogging meant growth would be gradual, the strategy allowed us to consistently build their search presence. Over time, organic search numbers increased month after month, and the pharmacy began seeing a rise in qualified leads.

The Results

In approximately 1.5 years, we increased their ranking keyword numbers by 4,333%.

Monthly organic user numbers rose from fewer than 20 to over 600.

The average number of monthly organic users engaging with the appointment-booking process grew from almost zero to more than 170.

While this progress took time, the results clearly showed that even a small pharmacy with limited budgets can successfully leverage SEO when approached with patience, consistency and a clear strategy. This long-term effort helped the business expand its visibility, attract new customers and turn organic search into one of its most reliable growth channels.
