The Scottish Pharmacy Show 2026 gave Pharmacy Mentor an opportunity to be part of Scotland’s pharmacy community, exhibit our work and connect with people across the sector. We attended with our stand, bringing our focus on digital growth into an event built around pharmacy learning, suppliers and professional connections.
Its full name is the Scottish Pharmacy Trade & Retail Show. Held on 15–16 September 2026 at the Inchyra Grange Hotel in Falkirk, it brought together pharmacy owners, pharmacists, managers, teams and industry partners over two days.
For readers who have not visited before, here is what the show is about, how its different elements fit together and why it is a useful event for the pharmacy sector.
What is the Scottish Pharmacy Show?
The show combines an exhibition with a programme of talks, panels and practical learning. Its focus is community pharmacy, with opportunities to explore products and services, hear professional perspectives and meet people working in similar environments.
The organiser’s Scottish Pharmacy Trade & Retail Show page describes a programme covering pharmacy practice, retail, regulation and business. Entry to the 2026 event was free for pharmacy professionals, with separate arrangements for suppliers.
That combination gives visitors different ways to use their time. Someone exploring a business idea can speak with exhibitors, while a team member looking to develop their knowledge can focus on the learning programme. The value comes from having those opportunities together in one place.
Learning at the Scottish Pharmacy Show 2026
The advertised programme included discussions about the future of pharmacy and independent prescribing, alongside sessions on team development and pharmacy workflows. Organisations involved included Community Pharmacy Scotland, the National Pharmacy Association, the GPhC and Numark.
A programme like this creates a link between wider professional discussion and the practical questions facing an individual pharmacy. Hearing different perspectives can help attendees understand a subject more fully and identify where they need further information.
For a pharmacy team, the most useful takeaway may be a question to explore back at work. Could a process be clearer? Is there a development opportunity for a colleague? What would need to change before introducing a service? Learning becomes more useful when it leads to a specific conversation.
Meeting suppliers and understanding the options
The exhibition is another central part of the show. It gives pharmacy professionals a chance to see what suppliers offer and talk through how a product or service might fit their business. A face-to-face discussion can make it easier to move beyond a broad description and ask about the details.
For example, a pharmacy considering new software might want to understand how it fits with existing systems, what support is available and how the team would learn to use it. An owner exploring marketing support may want to discuss service priorities, local visibility and the patient journey.
Those questions make supplier conversations more useful. A show is a good place to gather information and compare approaches, with time afterwards to consider the options against the pharmacy’s needs, resources and plans.

Pharmacy Mentor at the show
Our stand photograph shows Mitesh Shah and Saam Ali representing Pharmacy Mentor, with our message about being a digital growth partner for pharmacy behind them. The second photograph captures Saam alongside fellow exhibitors, giving another view of the people taking part in the event.
These images reflect why we make room for events in our calendar. Much of our work happens through screens, documents and online meetings. Exhibiting gives us a physical place in the pharmacy community and makes it easier for people to meet the team behind Pharmacy Mentor.
Our area of work includes pharmacy websites, search visibility, marketing and the systems that support online services. At a pharmacy show, those subjects sit alongside the other parts of running a business, from people and processes to products and premises.
Why a Scottish pharmacy event matters
There is value in an event focused on the community it serves. Bringing people together in Scotland creates a setting where attendees can meet colleagues and suppliers, exchange perspectives and explore ideas in a shared professional context.
For visitors, networking does not need to mean working through a room of introductions. It can begin with one useful conversation: finding someone who understands a challenge, discovering a supplier worth speaking to again or reconnecting with a colleague.
For exhibitors, listening matters just as much as explaining what they offer. A product or service only becomes relevant when it addresses a real need. Events create opportunities to understand that need through direct conversation with the people doing the work.
Take the next step with Pharmacy Mentor's marketing services
A show can introduce you to ideas and suppliers. The next step is making the right ideas work for your pharmacy. If your priority is reaching more people, Pharmacy Mentor can help you build a practical marketing plan around the services you deliver.
Our pharmacy SEO services focus on helping people find relevant service information through search. Our social media support helps you explain what you offer, introduce your team and maintain a consistent presence. Together, these channels give people more opportunities to discover and understand your pharmacy.
For pharmacies ready to invest in paid promotion, we also manage Google and Meta advertising. Campaigns need a useful destination, which is why we connect marketing with website design, clear service pages and enquiry or booking routes.
You can work with us on an individual service or a wider pharmacy marketing programme. We begin with your objectives and consider what your team can deliver, rather than adding channels for the sake of it. Reporting then helps you understand which activity brings enquiries and bookings, and where the plan needs attention.
That is what we mean by an online ecosystem: the parts of your digital presence supporting one another, with a clear purpose for your pharmacy. If the show prompted you to think about growth, we would be pleased to help you turn that idea into a plan.
The Scottish Pharmacy Show 2026 brought learning, suppliers and professional connections together, and we were pleased to take part. Thank you to the organisers and everyone involved in creating the event.
