Our vision is to improve access to healthcare through pharmacies. And we’re on a mission to work with 1000’s of pharmacies to improve their digital ecosystems, to allow that to happen. Listen to our Founder and CEO, Saam, talk about this very important initiative.
The new Community Pharmacy
Traditionally, community pharmacy has been the supplier of medicines. The new NHS requires community pharmacy to play a greater role, to be bolder and to fully utilise the clinical skills of pharmacists. With the evolution of digital health, pharmacies are becoming ‘health hubs’ in the community and a place where holistic care is delivered.
Improving access to healthcare
Community pharmacies have been successfully delivering advanced services to patients including medicine reviews, blood pressure monitoring and flu jabs for a number of years. However, our skillset has increased considerably and together with the evolution of digital pharmacy, we’re able to provide a plethora of clinical services. By fully utilising digital marketing strategies and developing the right digital ecosystems, community pharmacy can greatly improve the scope of access to NHS and private pharmacy services.
Technology is allowing us to become more efficient, streamline processes, ultimately leading to loss reduction. We understand the community pharmacy business model and how technology can be applied. This helps to save time which is best placed, focussing on patient care and better patient outcomes. This is the basis of what digital pharmacy exists upon.
The best of both worlds
Digital health is now and the future but we understand that face-2-face care can never be replaced. We envisage that a Community Pharmacy will be infused with digital health so as to provide the Community with both forms of care coinciding. Technology is our ally and harnessing it will improve the lives of our patients.
Working in collaboration
We know how important is it for Community Pharmacy to embrace technology today. That’s why we work tirelessly with big pharma and tech to communicate better with the sector. The more we can bridge this gap, the more opportunity will exist for Community Pharmacy.
